ABOUT
THE PROJECT

Big Sky is a place transformed by growth. While the resort recently marked its 50th anniversary, the vibrant, world-renowned community we know today has emerged largely in just the past two decades. With that growth comes a choice: to simply expand, or to intentionally shape the kind of community we want to become.

The Big Sky Center for the Arts represents that choice.

As our community grows, so does the need for spaces that bring people together—not just to live and work, but to connect, create, and belong. The arts are essential to that vision. They give Big Sky its soul, offering shared experiences that foster connection across generations, backgrounds, and seasons.

Today, demand for arts and cultural space in Big Sky exceeds what we can provide. Programs are constrained, opportunities are limited, and voices go unheard, not for lack of interest, but for lack of space.

This project changes that.

The expanded Center for the Arts will create a permanent, purpose-built hub for creative life in Big Sky featuring a dedicated youth classroom, flexible studios, and multipurpose spaces designed to support classes, performances, and community gatherings of all kinds. Every element has been shaped by community input, ensuring this is not just a building, but a true public asset, built by and for Big Sky.

This is more than an investment in a facility. It is an investment in the kind of community we aspire to be.
